Partlette
PARTLETTE, PARTLET
A neckerchief. In an inventory of Henry VIII there are entries of " two partlets of Venice gold knit; two partlets of Venice gold caul fashion; two partlets of white lawn, wrought with gold about the collars." They are also seen in numberless portraits of women in the 16th century, beautifully embroidered with gold.
